Trump Blames US For Russia’s Invasion Of Ukraine

Trump blamed the United States for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, and said it’s not Putin’s fault. This comes as JD Vance proposed a peace plan that is, no joke, nearly identical to Putin’s plan. One that Zelensky just called “radical”. Under his plan, Ukraine would have to give up all of the territory Russia currently occupies. Then they would have to give a pledge of neutrality to Russia and not be able to join NATO or the EU. Experts have called this “not a peace plan, but a Russian plan for victory”. With them noting that it ignores what Ukrainians want and that’s to keep fighting while giving Russians what they want which is capitulation. This is what Russia has done since 2013, and they break the deal and push further into the country. Ukraine is reportedly open to a deal that gives up some land in exchange for NATO membership to ensure a sustainable peace.

  22. Crazy how Ukraine doesn't want the war to end at their expense but demands the war continue indefinitely at US tax payers expense. 😂
    Also, both sides would have to agree – if Russia were to disagree, then Trump said he would unhinge Ukraine and give them whatever weapons they needed for victory.

  24. Was it completely our fault? No. But we did have a part to play. Russia feared the spread of nato and decided to take action. Immediately after Putin offered peace with no loss of territory as long as Ukraine didn’t join nato. Zelenskyy agreed and signed the treaty. The US did not like this however and sent a European diplomat to coerce Zelenskyy into ripping up the treaty and continuing with war. Again I’m not saying the blame lies solely on us. Putin should have never invaded in the first place. But it’s not like we were actively seeking peace with them either.

  28. There is no situation where Ukraine wins this war, there never has been. Zelensky needs to drop the ego and realize his only options are to 1) forfeit the territories occupied by Russia, so Ukraine can continue be independent, or 2) continue what he's doing, no negotiations to bring an end to the war, which will end up with Russia obtaining the entirety of Ukraine.

    There is no point in smearing American politicians for proposing plans to end the war in Ukraine (there is no way Ukraine will ever be able to regain large swaths of it's Russian-occupied territory, let alone win the war). It's time to start thinking rationally about the genuinely possible outcomes of this war, rather than focusing on bullcrap pipedream "Ukraine conquers Russia" nonsense.

    The only reason Zelensky believes Ukraine even has a chance at winning this war is that he isn't paying for it. If the USA didn't subsidize the Ukrainian war effort, they would've been long gone by now.

  29. I know everyone really swallowed the media pill that “American is responsible for saving Ukraine,” but damnit everything this man does makes me like him more.

    Been saying since day 1, Ukraine is just another false moral hill to die on, that our generation is obsessed with. A way for people to feel like they contribute by posting a flag emoji.

  39. I'm pro Trump but i don't blame zelensky for thinking it stupid. No way would i give up my land. They should probably just ne made NATO and give Russia a chance to get their men out. 6 months everyone leaves type of deal with a cease fire. If they continue to attack a NATO member it's not going to work out well for Russia. Force them basically or end up fighting NATO because at the end of that given withdraw timeline Ukraine will be a NATO nation
