If anyone wants a laugh, the top comment thread on the soccer post for this is absolutely hilarious. “No you’re thinking of….”
Pep and I are the same geniuses, I too play my kids in my Fifa23 save. How can I apply to be his assistant?
Eh, I don’t see it as a need to win a trophy but rather an opportunity to field youngsters and have them play in live matches with Pep observing closely
I legit dont Care about, just dont wanna loose to a embarassing opponent or rival.
Yesterday’s XI definitely confirms that. Was surprised to see 7 regulars and that Foden even played but made sense to ramp him back up to game speed after his illness.
Hopefully min. 5 youngsters going forward to see their development and avoid injury to regulars while focusing on league/european matches.
I don’t know the value of the competition’s tradition, but the prize money is ridiculous.
For example, the Brazilian league cup pays £200,000 in the first round. And it pays £10 million to the winner. While the EFL cup only pays £100,000 to the winner.
Smart focus everything on the league and champions league
It’s the least important so rest all started for the more important games
We’ve got a fifth consecutive PL to win, a CL to hunt for, and the FA Cup is there as a far more prestigious domestic trophy. The EFL Cup isn’t a tinpot, but there’s very little financial or historical incentive for us to win it.
