To create this data visualization, I gathered shape file data to see what areas had any probability of seeing hurricane force winds from the [National Hurricane Center](https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/). I then overlayed that data with the census tract boundries from the U.S. Census Bureau and joined the [Community Resilience Estimates](https://www.census.gov/programs-surveys/community-resilience-estimates.html) to see which areas are social vulnerable to disasters. I used python (geopandas and pandas) to do the data work and Tableau to visualize the map.

  2. That is, of course, until Biden takes a Sharpie to it to outline where it *really* will have an impact.

    That’s something presidents do, you know.
