Protests have erupted on the French Caribbean island of Martinique over the high cost of living, sparking violent clashes with police and the destruction of property. At least six police officers were injured by gunfire in one recent confrontation with protesters.

  2. These high prices are globally even in the U.S.A, i live in the U.S.A and originally from neighboring Island 🏝 of ST Lucia πŸ‡±πŸ‡¨ this problem of high prices and taxes is affecting everyone.,violence however and vandalism creates chaos and more problems.

  3. How is destroying businesses that provide jobs and boycotting stores that provide your basic needs helping the people. Stop destroying your infrastructure and take your fight to your local politicians. They are the ones who can actually do something about the matter.

  4. It’s happening all over .. it’s harder on small islands more so. If France doesn’t help them then they should just leave become a republic try a different way.
