Edit: I have to say that the captain of the M/S Estonia starts the mayday call by saying “good morning,” despite the alarms ringing in the background. It’s remarkable how professional everyone sounds.
I was 13 and in school that morning 1994. Last night here in Finland there was also a heavy storm, like that night. I remember how all the teachers were saddened by the news. One teacher even started to cry, but we didn’t fully understand the gravity of the situation at the time. It affected many people in Finland, Sweden, and Estonia.
Is there a documentary on this?
