F-16s are badass, but using them in a close air support role makes them highly vulnerable to ground fire. Using them as Combat Air Patrol against Russian 5thGen or 4thGen+ not to mention integrated air defenses, I don’t know.
If in a year employing the 16s in this way produced a significant advantage for the home team, I’ll eat my hat.
