Upamecano gave away a useless yellow. Kane was unusually quiet. Min Jae was very good imo. Davies should really practise those long rangers. We might need to improve on corners. And of course, Pavlo our hero was a beast.
That’s about it really.
It kinda felt like City vs Arsenal. We should have had better shooting & more pace in our counter attacks otherwise we were amazing.
Incredibly frustrated. We should have won the game. and Kane’s injury worries me alot.

Quiet frustrating , I mean due to the high pressing Bayern got the ball extremely fast back wich caused Leverkusen to park the bus (perhaps this was the plan anyway from Xabi). And in the end Bayern still had very few chances, like real one. Only shots from outside the box that weren’t even on the goal ! Goalkeeper had literally nothing to do the entire game just like Neuer. Only Gnabry had the real opportunity and like usually he misses. (gnabry needs 5 shoots to score a goal every game .., no instinct killer, if you don’t believe me go check the previous games where he score and the opportunities he wasted first) Globally ok I think, but the fact that for the first really challenge this season it is only a draw and not a win, especially home is kinda disappointing
Although we didn’t win. We have once again shown consistency in regaining the ball, applying pressure & being dominant. Which was something we lacked last season. We’re slowly looking like Bayern again

Draw aside, it was great to see Leverkusen get dominated by Bayern. Unlucky that Gnabry hit the woodwork twice as a 2-1 there would have opened the game up and it could have been a high scoring affair if Leverkusen came out of their shell.

2. I don’t know why, but why the fuck did we let them get back in the second half? Why did we take our foot off their fucking neck in the second half? I’m sure if we had played like we did in the first half, we could have won. I mean, we still could have won if it weren’t for our bad luck hitting the post. Come on, Gnabry!
3. Finally, FINALLY, Bayern Munich is back! We are playing like we were supposed to!
Pretty good. A draw against the best team last season is a very decent result.
I understand the frustration, but the match today was a fun one to watch. Yeah, FC Bayern should have taken the 3pts, but looking at some of the individual performances today, there is a lot to be happy with. They didn’t get frustrated and give up after they gave up the goal. They kept on the attack, leveled it, and kept control almost the entire rest of the match. I’m happy with it, and I thought it was a fun match to watch.

i must admit, i was not too happy with signing kompany but ,i think this match really shows what kind of a coach kompany is. you could see alonso was sweating. Amazing goal by pavlovic and musiala/olise were great as ever. Truly word class. not happy with the result but this is a sign of whats to come. i think we can expect big things from this sqaud….

On the one hand, it’s nice that Leverkusen had to park the bus while last time they were much more outgoing. On the other, we should’ve really won.
Lev had two shots on target and wirtz was completely invisible, and so was boniface. I was afraid that lev would park the bus (they did) and score some counters (they did not). They lost the ball so fast, that was really well played from our side. Lev is playing their system for 1.5 years; we had 8 weeks. I am proud how we play.

Totally frustrated by the result. I rarely an dejected at a sporting result at this stage in my life. This is three times in five months, and all are football. At least Leverkusen is not from Spain

Light years ahead of last season. Frustrating not to win but remember it’s early. This is something to build on rather than something to get over like last year

Why is Palinha not playing?
I thought Alphonso Davies did great, the announcers were gushing over his play. He had the left side locked down all game because he was so much faster than B04. He circled into the offensive zone nicely every possession too. His passing might have finished 100%, I didn’t check, and he displayed elite dribbling skills with three guys on him and still able to pass to Kane multiple times. It was nice to see him rewarded by coach with a yellow card play.
