What an absurd map. Finland is full of forests unlike the Central Europe.
Britain and Germany are green, lol. Grow 70 percent forest first, then we will talk. Also, we have like 15 percent as rivers lakes and swamps.
Well. I mean I get the green countries are now fighting to save their nature but it’s after they’ve destroyed it. Like UK cut down most of it’s forest. So ofcourse they’re trying to save the few clumps of trees there are left. Finland is mostly forest so we don’t need to do that much to it. Same for Sweden.
Norway has it’s fjords they’re trying to save, every few years some big Corpo comes along and wants to build a bridge through them and then the people fight to shut it down. Rinse and repeat.
But I did not read the source. This just be guestimating. Allthough I do have to say if we don’t start taking protecting our nature more seriously and just let big Corpos destroy it we will regret it. We already have some mining sites where The Capitalist pwomised to clean after the damage they’re causing and somehow our politicians were surprised when they didn’t. They took the profit and left the bill for us. And every few years we’re seriously considering doing that same thing again. Sell a plot of profitable land for some foreigner to abuse because they’ll bring jobs for 3 years and they pwomised they’ll clean up the mess after! They really did!
