Just uninstalled my PayPal app and cut the debit card up.
Ehh, two days ago (27th) I used the old mailadres in paypal and didn’t get any error. Does anyone know if that means the money went thru?
These assholes are taking a page out of Elon Musk’s playbook this is unbelievable how shitty this is.
Ukraine should block PayPal in the future from doing business in Ukraine like south American company did to starlink.
Also PayPal is notorious for not refunding money.
Other fund raisers use Monobank or something, is that a safer option?

When Paypal blocked wikileaks, bitcoin got a boost. What other paypal like apps are out there? Easy to use, and quick setup.
I donate to UA24 because they have an applepay option. If you did this that would be awesome.
I just sent a complaint email to Paypal, demanding the unblocking of “Wild Hornets”. Otherwise I will deactivate my own account and never use Paypal again and also advise everyone I know to do the same.
Let’s see if they react.
If this action of PayPal is documented, start a campaign on all the social platforms you know of saying that ‘Pay Pal is indifferent to the deaths of civilians in Ukraine’! The sooner that is done, more and more people will act! There are many other good money payment and transfer companies out there to take PayPals place!

Unfortunately I fear this is pretty standard practice when dealing with money that contributes towards lethal aid. In the UK, HSBC have blocked my company from making any more donations to Come Back Alive after ‘safeguard reviews’, and I’m currently looking for a new banking provider that allows such donations – it’s very difficult to get a clear answer on this topic.
If anyone has any advice, it’d be much appreciated.
Is this an official move by Paypal or did Chinese/Russian bots mass reported the emails you guys use?

I just submitted a complaint to Paypal that they are assisting the genocide and if they don’t reinstate Wild Hornets account, I will close my account.

The donate address needs to be updated on the homepage as well.

Your bank may ask the first time if you are sure to send money to Ukraine, but after that there should be no hassle and paypal bulls**t.

Interesting. I stopped using paypal about 15+ years ago because they blocked donations to something. I cant even remember what it was. Not surprised to see them still doing it

Change to Venmo.
They blocked my donatation for Signal Messenger two times. Then they locked my account. The reason was because I had “ekin” in my address.

And later in discussion they made up some bullshit like “we thought this is a terrorist organisation” or something. They unblocked me but I still could not donate to Signal. Then I used my credit card…
