  1. I love how long this has lasted! This retro version is so much better than the ones we get now.

  2. Brilliant. I’ve never had the urge to do a marathon myself. 10k is enough.

A friend of mine booked us all in for London landmarks half marathon a couple of years ago. In the application form he misunderstood the part where you enter your name to go on your race number. He read it as a question and answered “YES”.
So all 6 of us had the name YES on our fronts. Funnier if you were there. The crowd went wild.

  3. We get it, you did a bloody marathon. Time to stop going on about it, it’s been 20 years. /s

Fair play to you, I’ve done half marathons but have never felt the urge at the end to want to go round again at the finish line!

  4. I swear 2004 is not as long ago as this makes it look 😭

Did all the finishers get a bottle of Michelob?!

  5. I did some work for TNT back in the 90’s when on break from uni

One day I was sat in the office doing some dull data entry stuff for like £6/hour the previous summer I had been driving their 7.5t for more than

Friday afternoon rolls in and a guy comes in from the warehouse and asks if I have a passport, yes I replied. He then says great, are you free for a couple of days. If so there is £500 cash if you can deliver two pallets of Mercedes parts thier factory in Austria by 9am Sunday

So I dash home grab my passport, and a hand full of my dad’s meticulously organised franks (Belgian and French!) and leave a note for my mum, gone to Austria for work, back Monday!

  6. Is Vittel still going? Admittedly I don’t pay attention to water brands particularly but feel like I’ve not seen it for years

  7. I did the Carver Wolverhampton marathon in 2004, 20 bloody years ago! Where did all that time go? A lot of it to my waistline, unfortunately! Well done you!

  8. Jesus the amount of STUFF in that bib! And this was pre chip as well I reckon so all the finish team had to go on was that tiny number

  9. I also ran the London marathon in 2004. I’ve still got the same kit bag in my garage. Couldn’t believe it when I saw it on reddit.
