  1. Councils take your council tax, and never get the tankers out to de-silt the drains anymore, so they can’t cope with deluges of water, hence why places that have never flooded before, or are no where near a river now flood. It’s all linked to our government wasting tax payers money and not giving councils a proper budget anymore.

  2. I love a bit of Geo-Engineering.
A little rain here, a little sunshine there!
You can have some Vit D, but you can't. Your crops will grow, but yours won't.
All in the name of the climate con!!
    Pay up, plebs!!

  3. A combination of things.
Ripping up trees & hedges etc to make way for concrete and houses. Every single tree removed is a giant water sponge removed.
Building houses in silly places .
Lack of maintenance of drainage channels and pipes.
We will get more rainfall, the earth is in its warming cycle as it has been the last 10,000 years . Thousands of years ago you could walk to Norway from the UK, dont try it now though folks , you may get wet underpants.

    Politicians version:-
Flooding is caused by cars on road , causing climate change and much more rain. Lets increase taxes and charge people to come into cities. That will stop it.

  4. So we lay down loads of concrete and wonder why when the water rushes off and accumulates it cause floods 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏻!…… But but we need more houses (concrete)!

  5. This is another reasson for reducing immigration. What happens is that when building houses, particularly on green field sites, the rain water from roofs and roads goes straight down the surface water sytem. It then goes straight down into the local rivers, and flood other peoples homes down stream. This is only to be expected, due to the high demand for new housing. This situation can only get worse. If it wae left as green fields, it would take hours if not days for the water to soak through the ground and eventually find its way to the local springs streams.

  6. Omg flooding next to rivers what are we to do ???? Must be accelerating global warming causing excessive rainfall that’s never ever happened ever before .. I need to panic and go and live in a tent and use no fossil fuel ever again .

  7. Remember Boris the liar Johnson standing up in Parliament and shouting he has invested billions of pounds in flood defence and not a single snooze paper remember that ?

  8. And the government wants to build 1.5 million more homes and allows these vast warehouse complexes that are springing all around the country, which will exacerbate the flooding in future times

  9. Someone said that making 6 km inflatable artificial mountains and spraying the top with water and turning it into snow is not realistic so what I'm asking you is what plan do you have to get this water off the ground
