Just got word, we aren’t classed as UK anymore.

So I'm trying to RMA a product that is fully under warranty with a company and I have been emailing back and forth for days with them providing all sort of proof and information. They agreed to send me a replacement of the product and everything was sorted then they decided a few hours later nah we won't ship to you anymore as northern ireland isn't uk that's ireland. Like what in the hell is going on, are they just trying to pull one on me to not have to replace this item or just clueless to basic knowledge I know the majority of us don't want to be uk but we are so why are they not meeting their legal obligation here. Any tips to pull on here as they require a UK address to ship it too? I was thinking of providing my siblings address and for country putting uk but I'm sure they'll catch that lol

  1. I would offer up a firm but polite geography lesson and also send them a screenshot of your address on Royal Mail postcode finder which proves it is a valid U.K. address.

  2. Irish unity on its way bais let’s goooo 🇮🇪🇮🇪

I knew the Tiocfaidh ar la would happen someday

Best bet is if u know someone in Britain and then have them ship it to you, it’s honestly annoying when companies do this

    Or buy from another company

  3. Loads of things I’ve tried in the last 2months don’t deliver or charge an extra fee 😅

  4. I would suggest pointing them to a map and suggesting they stop trying to rip you off with a post code that literally says you’re in the UK and cordially invite said dickheads to be less so. Oh, and don’t tell Jim. He’ll go mental.

  5. Something I’ve noticed:

Anything bought from AliExpress to an NI address under the 135 GBP limit, customs processing is done in only 10 minutes.

  6. Last week I was trying to order from Blinds2Go and they tried to charge me an extra £9.95 shipping to Ireland

  7. …the majority of NI doesn’t want to be in the UK? Didn’t get that memo! Guess you got your wish?!
