Once again Scotland proves that it cannot be trusted with self rule

Personally I think this justifies military action against the Scots

  1. Literally 1984 fr. If that would happen here there would be riots on the streets, houses would burn, polticians would die.

  2. Angus needs to get angry over this – it’s a disgraceful tax on the upstanding alcoholics that form the basis of society.

  3. We absolutely live in a Nanny state at this point. Also this has nothing to do with trying to reduce drinking and everything to do with just fleecing the population. Also likely to facilitate a black market on booze, which is worse… and stupid…

  4. My preferred winery just increased the price for 5 litres of applewine from €6.50 to €7.00. 1984 and Morlocks in one. This place is gonna burn.

  5. That’s not the worst thing a government has done.

Ours had banned a discount of more than 25 percent on alcohol.

  6. We may be well known for being drunks, but we also have plenty of other ways to keep ourselves entertained.
    Pls don’t take our drugs

  7. Guys it works I’m telling you! Our alcohol deaths are down because alkies are now dying from starvation if freezing to death so they can fund they’re booze habit

    ^our ^government ^are ^a ^fucking ^joke

  8. I see most comments here talking about taxes but minimum pricing isn’t higher tax on alcohol (only Westminster can do that) but rather the minimum price a retailer can sell for, which simply means extra profits for manufacturers and retailers

  9. Brewing your own booze is pretty easy lads, time to add yeast to a demijohn of Tesco’s basics apple juice

  10. The SNP are a unionists dream. So inept and corrupt in government they make you want to support anyone else. Genuinely some of their decision making makes them look like controlled opposition ffs

  11. As a Norwegian I’m constitutionally obliged to say: oh you think YOUR alcohol is expensive?

(Fr tho, it sucks and doesn’t really work…)
