  1. Not easy without any more details.

Could be core drillings to determine the structure of the road.

Or there had been some bollards.

  2. Never seen anything like that. Looks as if the road was just one very thin layer with some holes applied over some green and an old road or so.

  3. Drilled holes to check the qualitaty of the asphalt after building a road. Unfortunately they forgot to close them. (Seldom they close them)

  4. It’s a roadworker by day and a street artist by night. They paint them in different colours and stick them on walls. They are called CMYK Dots.

  5. In Germany even potholes have to fill out the form “Schlaglochausdehnungsantrag” to grow to irregular sizes. Otherwise, their size has to stay within a diameter of 5 centimeters (~2 inches). Looks like these haven’t gotten the permission by the Straßenbauamt yet.

  6. I used to work for the road maintanance as an IT technician, they collect samples this way then after the inspection the piece was given to one of the head of departments as a souvenir

  7. This a German pothole. It need to be a perfect circle otherwise it won’t be German

  8. Hi, I am from Ireland, can someone please explain to me what a “quality road” is? I don’t think we have any of them here.

  9. Against all stupid answers here: This is made for “4 gewinnt” when you don’t have friends.

  10. Es wurde mehrfach eine Kernbohrung durchgeführt.
    They performed multiple Kernbohrung.

    Edit: translate

  11. Special holes for checking the size and quality of new road. But they shouldn’t be so close one to another
