The otter

So, we are on the Isle of Eigg and today we went for a stroll on the Singing Beach and we saw from the distance an animal that turned to be an otter. We went in her direction, and she was running up a few steps and stopping to lay on the sand. She allowed us to approach her up to 5 meters and then I saw she can be injured. Is there something that we could /should do? Report it somewhere or organise any help? I am sorry if it is a stupid question but it is so a beautiful animal you can't watch it suffering. In the end, we left her rolling up between some rocks but I still think about it.

  1. There won’t be a lot they can do if it’s fully mobile. I had an injured deer in my field and called the SSPCA. They said it would be impossible to catch and if they could the stress of being captured could kill it anyway.
