  1. While I haven’t been to Waltham Forest in a while, I’ve seen a few cargo bikes and cargo buggies around London in recent weeks mentioning support from Waltham Forest. Enabling people to replace van trips with cargo bike trips is such a great initiative that more councils should work towards.

  2. That’s brilliant. A cargo trailer is definitely something most people will only need a few times a year, if that, and won’t want taking up room the rest of the time. I wish my council offered a similar service, or failing that, maybe the [Library of Things](https://www.libraryofthings.co.uk/) could do this.

As it stands, whenever I need to carry something bulky / unwieldy, I either end up doing very inadvisable things with bungee cords and IKEA carrier bags, or I just have to hire / borrow a car.

editβ€”after googling it, I see it has electric assist as well! So you could potentially tow something really heavy on this with just a normal push bike.

  3. That’s fantastic. I live in Wandsworth and rented a cargo bike out to take stuff to the tip. I rented it from 08:30 am-12:30pm and paid only 13 quid. There’s an app called the ourbike app and the [Ourbike website](https://ourbike.co.uk/). Highly recommended if people not aware. Available in certain areas of London, although not sure where off the top of my head.
