  1. Well, a good deal of our nation is afraid of books and science, and has been told to reject the knowledge of experts. Instead they ‘do their own research’ through Twitter, blogs, and podcasts by people who need them outraged so they keep watching and listening.

i work with a guy who distrusts experts so much, he gets his weather from an amateur weather blogger.

  2. That’s also when the can-do attitude was worth the effort. I don’t think that attitude went anywhere, people started to get wiser to how we are being exploited.

  4. Some folks have taken more than their share at the expense of actual health of others. Bad apples spoil the bunch. Regulate it. They can’t play nice.

  5. With a small cut to his salary he could hire a hundred “can do” workers who would be happy to have such a great salary

  6. Make can-do attitude support with proper pay and incentives and it will be back to it. You cannot ask for that when you lay off GenZ or other people as soon as they are 50. Only a massive war will kick this nation in the butt again.
