And the count will keep going up so long as Putin is allowed to remain in power. Ukrainian not wanting to fight for their own country at least should consider they should help to free prisoners and other kidnapped people from Russia.

Ukraine are never getting that lost territory back. The collective west has tried absolutely everything to push the Russians out but nothing has worked. Sanctions after sanctions, financial and military support to Ukraine for months on end. But instead Russia has solidified their hold over the Donbas.
Ukraine need to except the conditions for a surrender because I don’t see any military path for them to get those lands back. If they carry on the Russians could extend their hold.
But as I see it now, the frontline is stable and has been for 18 months almost and other than a Ukraine collapse (they have a much smaller population) I don’t see it changing.
