  1. russia is deceiving it seems so big and resourcefull but mostly it is uninhabitated empty and witn no logistics to connect people all across it like roads trains etc

  2. I don't agree. Putin couldn't care less about casualties. He has millions as cannon fodder to throw on the battlefield for years to come. Unfortunately.

  3. You can keep raising wages all you want, but if your economy isn't actually producing more consumer goods, it all evaporates in inflation. You cannot distribute more bread and iphones by throwing nominal cash into the economy in order to throw working adults into the meat-grinder.

  4. Comparing reported KIA from opposite sides is an absolute madness. Each country and source has its biased "methods" of counting casualties on the opponents side. Pro-western Wall Street Journals estimates is as true as Russian Ministry of Defence.
Funny enough, some sources use 2x multiplier to confirmed obituary lists for their "estimate" of total Russian casualties with the following reasoning: "many of the troops might still be on the battlefield and its impossible to get their bodies out of the field". This suggests that 70K of KIA soldiers are still on the battlefield – absolute joke, keeping in mind that front is moving. This reasoning could make sense from Ukranian perspective, because they won't have access. Also, these estimates suggest that total irrevocable casualties equals to HALF of entire Russian army, not just assault brigades, artillery, drivers, supply, backoffice, etc. Very questionable, to put it mildly

  5. Just like MOST of all Politicians, Putin cannot make correct calculations. As a Registered Civil Engineer I feel FREE to say so. Politicians have a VERY BAD habit to define their Wished/Wanted Outcome of calculations before even starting to gather the required Inputs / Data.
Now, acceptable calculations on Wars are pretty difficult, as data and acceptable assumptions change by the hour! Putin doesn't understand multi-layered calculations so his "little" brain isn't much of a Help on this topic.
However there is a different approach. It is like looking at the Kitchen storage in your own house.
Is everything in stock, and what do we need to buy this week? That works well for Ruzzia, and basically also for The Western World.
The basic Kitchen approach also opens the door to a New Question.
WHO will run out of stock (food) first ??? Could it be Ruzzia? Or will it be The Western World ???
I think most readers will know the answer to this question…

  6. Paul I don't know. NATO's resolve is erroding. There are NATO members already willing to give up Crimea to Russia to move forward with peace talks. Any land Russia keeps is a victory for Russia no matter the cost, and a defeat for Eukraine, and NATO. Just one mans opinion

  7. To paraphrase Vlad Vexler, Russia in 2024 is capable only of violence and bullshit.
They certainly ARE talented at lying prolifically to stupid people on the internet.

  8. I have friends, family & students who have lived in Russia or were raised in Russia – many still have relatives there. They tell me the situation is even worse than Paul's account because Russia is experiencing a huge brain drain (it has been since 2014) so anyone with even a little competence has a decent job and will not volunteer… if that job is in the energy or defense sector the government needs them to stay with that job.

They estimate 3 million Russians left – that is 2% of the population, especially young, educated and skilled men.

  9. What planet are you on 😂
    Russia wiping
    Ukraine
    Usa
    Nato

    Your little chart is hilarious
