She visited two African countries before meeting Sparry because she wanted to be able to claim she was a humanitarian on her profile page. The second, Rwanda, was such a disaster that they never visited another one. Even though she was a virtual unknown, Nutmeg made so many demands (firstclass flights and accommodations, designer clothes, her own fashion photographer, her own makeup and hair people, all coming out of the budget for a charity tour) that the producer couldn't afford to make the trip. The only time she actually visited with the children was when she was doing a photoshoot with them and then she had to repeatedly change her clothes so she could show different styles for later. It was a glorified photoshoot using poor indigenous children as props. Pathetic & unconscionable. That should have been the first red flag.
