I’m just confused how there isn’t more people concerned that the Republicans have propped up every issue as being one of “States’ Rights” when this was the exact playbook the Confederates used in the Civil War to justify their bigotry.
If you’re a “centrist” at this stage of the game, you’re just too scared to admit you’re a republican (and/or you have a very shitty judge of character and even worse bullshit detection… do better).
You know who posts “We can disagree and not hate each other” memes on social media? The people with the malignant dogshit opinions who have brought upon their own social shunning.
“Why did all my old friends from high school unfriend me?” Is not something that kind, understanding people ever need to ask.
