Chinese nationals serving as “mercenaries” have been killed on the front lines in Ukraine, according to a social media group focused on honoring fallen Russian soldiers. Thousands of foreigners have fought for Russia since Moscow’s February 2022 invasion of Ukraine, but no solid evidence has emerged that Chinese nationals are among them, according to Newsweek.

“The Ukrainian Armed Forces have killed two Chinese mercenaries according to Russian channels,” an X account called PS01 said. Below the tweet, the netizen shared a post from the Telegram channel for a pro-war volunteer group known as ZOVNovoshakhtinsk.

The post included a statement on the deaths of a pair of soldiers nicknamed “Sprite” and “Cola.”

“The guys from China. Good guys, great fighters, Died…,” the poster wrote alongside photos of two young Asian men wearing military gear. Below the brief eulogy, members of the group seemed to be discussing how soon the soldiers had died after joining. A Russian media outlet earlier this year called ZOVNovoshakhtinsk “an initiative group of volunteer wives, sisters and relatives of mobilized Novoshakhtinsk residents who died in the Special Military Operation zone.”

Newsweek recallas that Novoshakhtinsk is a mining city in the southwest Russian region of Rostov and sits just a few miles from the Ukrainian border. The “Special Military Operation” is the Kremlin’s term for the war against Ukraine.

The write-up detailed the group’s installation of billboards around the city featuring Novoshakhtinsk residents who had been killed in action.

Kyiv has also welcomed thousands of foreign mercenaries since launching its International Legion for the Territorial Defense of Ukraine. These included an army veteran from Taiwan, Tseng Sheng-guang, who in November 2022 became the first person from an East Asian country to be killed in the fighting. New NATO secretary general Mark Rutte said that China had become a decisive enabler of Russia’s war in Ukraine. “China cannot continue to fuel the largest conflict in Europe since the Second World War without this impact in its interests and reputation.” he said. A NATO spokesperson said a Reuters report that Russia has established a weapons programme in China to develop and produce long-range attack drones for use in its war against Ukraine was “deeply concerning” and that Nato “allies are consulting on this matter”. The White House national security council said it appeared to be an instance of a Chinese company providing lethal assistance to a US-sanctioned Russian firm.

    1. We are ALL sinners – (Rom. 6:23) For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

    *Sin separates us from the Holy God

    2. There is a punishment for our sin -(Rom. 6:23a) For the wages of sin is death;

    * Death – eternal death – HELL

    * Because of God's love for us, He sent his only son Jesus Christ to die in our place on the cross. Jesus Christ took all the weight of our sins so we can be saved through grace, NOT our works.

    * The blood that Jesus shed on the cross can wash away our sins and make us clean

    4. Through Jesus Christ, we can now have eternal life in HEAVEN – (Rom. 6:23b) but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

    *Gift – free, but you can only have it if you receive it. If you reject it then the punishment of Hell is waiting for you

    5. How can I receive eternal life? – (Rom. 10:9) That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 

    * You have to admit you are a sinner and you cannot save yourself from Hell nor go to Heaven through your own efforts.

     You have to believe in your heart that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins, was buried and rose again after 3 days and that He and only He can save you from hell.

    (Roman 10:13) For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.  

    * Whosoever means anyone including me and you! 

    Do you want to do it? Pray this prayer:

    Dear God, I admit I am a sinner and cannot save myself from hell. I believe that Jesus Christ died for my sins, was buried and rose again. I believe that only  Jesus Christ can save me from Hell and He is the only way to Heaven.  I accept Jesus Christ in my heart as my Lord and Savior. Thank You for eternal life. Amen.

  42. i guaranteed ccp hides this from their citizens. n encourages their population to fight there , coz the unemployment is raising so high. ccp has traits of elimating unwanted population in history many times, from korean war to expelling poor people from Beijing in 2008 olympics.

  46. If these mercs are commissioned by the Chinese state then the West has been betrayed by China, it😢 needs to stop trade immediately. If they are genuinely independent then its the same as the western volunteers in Ukraine.
