  1. This confirms Pep is gone in my eyes. We are in for a strange few years with the hearings looming

  2. Pep is leaving then.

Idk anything about the charges so I’ll keep quiet on that end, but what a fucking era.

  3. heard he was going to retire for a while?

rumors are Pep is in Abu Dhabi right now… so I wouldn’t necessarily say he’s leaving too.

  4. I knew the reaction of City fans would be to panic about this, but why? I trust that they’ve chosen a good replacement. Things change, we’re in for a lot of change soon but Khaldoon, along with our money, is not going anywhere. I’m completely chill about this lmao. I wish him a happy retirement

  5. Yea ngl this could mean nothing and be a coincidence but its definitely not the best optics with the charges decision looming

  6. Why are people saying this isn’t good? 😂 it’s fine, if anything, we might not miss out on players like Bellingham or Rice in future

  7. For those saying Pep’s leaving, I’d say hold your horses.
It’s not a sudden departure. It’s come as no surprise to anyone at the club, Pep will have known and must have always known Txiki was going to retire. It’s an inevitability of life.

He hasn’t left for another club so stay optimistic

  8. I’m more interested in who the replacement is since they’ll be starting in early 2025

  9. Cue all the idiots saying it’s because “he knows City are guilty”. They clearly did not read the article.

  10. Fuck I hope he is at least in the building on an advisory level. Give him a part time consulting gig to ease the new person

  11. Not that surprising. He was always said to be going with Pep, and nobody expected he would go this far. And there’s great talent out there. If Arsenal, Liverpool, etc can build their structures, we can maintain ours.

But I wouldn’t see this as a sure thing for Pep leaving. I’d see it as Pep going further than Txiki anticipated and making him go separately.

  12. End of an era. Hope the next one is even more successful. Thanks to Txiki, the architect of this runaway success. Hopefully we see a few banners thanking him in the months ahead.
