No fucking way 1800ā¬ is even close to average in Helsinki. Why would you even rent if you have that kind of money.
TIL there are newly built apartments in Paris
80 percent of the people in the Paris region live in the suburbs.
The more important question is why do you want to live in the capital of the country?! The matter of fact is that every capital is a shithole.
Converted from USD to EUR in 2018ā¦
Why the fuck would anyone pay that much to live in Stockholm?
They would have to pay me way more than 2500ā¬ to move to Paris.
Budapest where.
For once we do not trust the top ..
European Capitals:
Moscowā¦ š§š¤Ø
Great, now normalize it according to the median income!
Dublin has gotten more expensive since 2018
is this EU only or are the actually no Swiss cities on the list?
This is just tragic
Paris is about as clean as any other major city but I guess consumming content from americans trash talking Paris got to your head
This sub isn’t for the poor.
That doesnāt even reflect how expensives they actually are, for example, in Madrid minimun wage is around ā¬1200 meaning that if u earn the minimun must move somewhere else (I lived in Madrid is really that expensive) Meanwhile in brussels minimun wage is around ā¬1800/2000 (I donāt have it clear and donāt want to google it out) meanwhile you can still rent and āaffordā to live, itās still expensive, but is affordable
2018ā¦. Good thing nothing crazy happened after that year
More ridiculous is why is Dublin almost as expensive as London?
At least London and Paris are big metropolitan cities. Dublin is tiny in comparison.
2018 was a million years ago. Itās been 6 years of price inflation and wage stagnation in the UK. The French have NOTHING on us!
This post is approved by all French people living outside of Paris
Surprised at how Lisboa isn’t in the chart. Old data for sure.
BS. I pay 750ā¬ for 40mĀ² appartment close to Helsinki center. 3 minutes from metro and mall.
Really Rome more than Milan, thatās surprising honestly
Tbh I don’t like the format of the statistic. It can easily be altered by a different mean size of apartments.
If the mean apartment in Paris is 85 m^2 while the mean apartment in Dublin is 70 m^2, then (arguably) Dublin apartments are more costly then Parisienne.
An “average montly rent per square meter” metrics would have been much, much more useful.
2018 wtf thats ancient data
Homeworking, and live outside capitals. Problem solve for people who work in offices
Good luck finding an apartment in Amsterdam for 1500 EUR in 2024.
I would pay that much rent if I could gaze everyday at the Treaty of Saint-Germain-en-Laye which dissoluted your evil empire and reduced Austria to a small-sized and landlocked country!
