Trams please. We just need the trams back. Much cheaper.
I’m hoping they use it to make HS2 not a pointless waste of money anymore and have it provide more than a slightly quicker trip to Birmingham for our £33 billion.
Like, I know, still a waste of money. It’s a British infrastructure project. But maybe we at least go back to plan A where it serves Manchester and Leeds and at least connects people further away where the higher speed running delivers more valuable time savings.
