It seemed we had taken a dip after Messi and Griezmann’s exit by season 21/22.
But Flick has brought us back to top Luis Enrique and Valverde level regarding goals so far, proving we can play attacking football after Messi.
Didn’t we lose the league in 16/17? Not sure what this data suggests or trying to prove.
So far Flick’s “let’s outscore them” tactic seems to work, the team also seems to enjoy it.
It’s kinda incredible that this team can match or exceed goal outputs from the Messi era. We are still only a fourth way in. Hope can keep up the form.
The problem with Flick’s system is that if it gets found out there’s no return. He’s really adamant about tinkering his playstyle which cost him his German NT job.
