President Macron released footage of the training of the “Anna of Kyiv” Brigade, named after the Princess who became Queen of France in 1051. The Brigade is entirely equipped and trained by France to set the example of European military autonomy in the face of a looming Trump presidency

   Do we really need the Americans to defend 500 million Europeans from 150 million Russians?

   I say a more federal Europe is what we need. We’re slowly moving in that direction, but it’s time to speed up the process of integration.
