Raphinha reveals why he thinks he was chosen by team-mates to be Barcelona captain

For me he is the best captain material in recent times. He may be hot-headed sometimes, but he really is a team player and passionate about the club and the game itself.
He was way hot-headed the previous season than now, now he seems perfectly balanced, he is the first to defend our players after ugly kicks by our opponents and criticize dumb ref decisions, all these without losing his head.
Imo our best captain, don’t understand why he handed it to de Jong during last game, I like de Jong but he is kind of soft.
Worth to be mentioned is Marc Casado, you can clearly see how familiar he is with the captain role from La Masia, could be a great leader in the future, joy to watch.
raphinha still being mad after the villarreal game (even tho they won) because lamine got fouled constantly pretty much sums up why he is one of the captains
Whole team kinda stepped up and stopped swarming ref, letting only captain intervene.
I was excited when we signed him, then slowly began to think that maybe there was a reason why he was at Leeds, but this season he is really started winning me over again. I feel like he has more to prove than anyone else in the squad, both at Barca at with Brazil, and he definitely seems like he is relishing the challenge to prove everyone wrong.

I like it for 2 reasons – it will bring the best out of Raphinha, and it may change the rhetoric about Barca not appreciating Brazilian players.
