   Misinformation about the response to Helene — ranging from accusations that FEMA is failing to mobilize resources to hard-hit areas to conspiracy theories that the government controls the weather — has surged across social media platforms in the past several weeks, including on TikTok.

(Seriously, he said this on a family zoom when they checked in on us in Florida yesterday). *we are in Orlando and not impacted other than some small limbs down. Never even lost power. I think it’s just text messages now with that part of the family. I just can’t anymore with them. I absolve myself from it.
