I think spoons should hire outside consultants for their maths needs in the future.

  1. I’d be too pissed to notice at first, but by the time I’d make the long trek to the toilets I would catch on.

  2. It could be intentional. It’s common for people to assume that 2 would cost less than the sum of two singles, so they might not even realise it and go for the deal.

  3. Boring response alert: I’m guessing there are cocktails in the offer at higher prices.

  4. It’s so you don’t order too many drinks and accidentally wee yourself while trying to find their toilet.

  5. My husband’s nan used to do this in the antique shop she worked in (I don’t think knowingly). The weirdest thing is that people would just go with it!
