  1. I don’t understand this. They destroyed  Hezbollah’s leadership and cleared the border area, what’s there worth pissing off the Lebanese people who are just trying to sleep?

They need to know when to stop.

  2. Given how many supply depots the IAF has hit, someone in Hezbollah probably has a lot of explaining to do when they get asked “Why the fuck didn’t you separate it all?”

  3. The shockwave seemed to arrive unusually quickly compared to the light from the explosion, based on my (uneducated) estimate of the distance — unless the video is sped up?

  4. It looks like Israel is settling all its outstanding scores. The annihilation of Gaza / Hamas, now it’s Hezbollah’s turn, I suspect that Irans time is coming.

  5. From Wikipedia: “In 2023 and 2024, during the Israel-Hamas war, Hezbollah members used the village to fire missiles and coordinate attacks against Israel. Israel launched numerous airstrikes at the village in response.[^([10])](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ayta_ash_Shab#cite_note-10)[^([11])](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ayta_ash_Shab#cite_note-11) Almost all of the village’s residents have left.[^([12])](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ayta_ash_Shab#cite_note-12)

On October 1, 2024, the IDF claimed that since the onset of the [Israel–Hezbollah conflict](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israel%E2%80%93Hezbollah_conflict_(2023%E2%80%93present)) in October 2023 and leading up to the [October 2024 ground operation](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2024_Israeli_ground_operation_in_Lebanon), it had destroyed 103 “terror targets” in Aita al-Shaab, including 51 tunnel shafts and nine rocket launchers, with tunnels reaching approximately 25 meters deep.[^([13])](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ayta_ash_Shab#cite_note-13)”
