  1. It obviously allows us to divert sewage into the tunnel and prevent dumping, does the project also include a mechanism for extracting waste from the river? 

  2. So if we’ve been paying for it through our bills, our bills will reduce again now, right? Right??

  3. Much needed, particularly with recent building meaning flood water goes in to rivers more easily.

    Would be amazing to improve the quality of the Thames water.

  4. I’m happy for less poo in the river but it’s bugging me the article says “metres squared”, is it not “cubic metres”, or even just use litres!

  5. I feel like “turning on the valves” is the sort of thing that should have a social media video / live webcam in the year 2024
