LOL they weren’t even ready to attack Ukraine in 2022 when they had their army fully intact! Since then, [Ukraine has decimated their land forces to less than half](https://index.minfin.com.ua/en/russian-invading/casualties/). The idea that they’d be ready to attack NATO in 2030 is ridiculous.

I really doubt the russians will be able to assault a toilet with the ass whooping they got from the ukranians. By 2030 its impossible. Yes, they are training and indoctrination the next generation of russians and have learned from their mistakes but they still use the same tactics to take territories and will need a huge resources to rebuilt its shock tank formations (400 tanks per tank division and 200 in mechanized), and its airforce and navy is bastly outnumbered even by just european armies.

I think a big difference here is that Ukraine doesn’t have the deep strike capability that NATO does. Ukraine is trying with drone strikes, but the level of destruction NATO could bring to russias factories, staging points and command and control centers is something Russia hasn’t come close to encountering fighting against Ukraine. If NATO does declare article 5, Russia would be in for a bad time even with a partially rebuilt military.

Additionally, someone would say that they have been attacking through assassinations and propaganda for quite some time now.
The last time I saw a headline like this it was saying 2028, so if anything this is a great improvement.
Russia can atack nato in HOI4 by 2030, but they will loose there too even on the easy mode.
They will if Germany refuses to help disarm them. Germany’s real escalation would be stepping out of the way of evil.

I feel like these reports are like a game of ping pong, one report says Russia is going to break apart and fall into oblivion and then it’s followed by another report that they’re poised to become the next great superpower.
The ratio between the population of NATO and Russia is 6 to 1. Russia would be on the offense. Russia attacking NATO would be Russia committing suicide.
