Don’t ever make a threat or order you can’t enforce. Cos if we say stop and they say ‘or what..’ then what are we going to do?
Personally I’m all for it, no weapons should be passing through our airspace on the way to carry out a genocide. But in the absence of actual defence spending to have some kind of Irish military capability what are we going to do? Write them a nasty letter?
Why does Ireland even have troops over there? Just cannon fodder really.
Well what can we do about it, throw sticks at them!?
It’s better to push more for BDS, UN sanctions and ICC charges than to re-route these flights, which won’t stop these weapons from being delivered.
There’s no point creating a huge political squabble with the US over airspace when the end result, even if they divert the flight paths, is that Israel still gets the weapons.
If we had a capable airforce (one with a radar and 12 to 16 jets) we could escort these out of our airspace. Now the only thing we can do is make a complaint
But the neutrality folks keep telling me that its a waste of money cause “who will ever invade ireland”

Our country is run by push overs
