We’ll, I can’t help it, but I liked all the Swiss I met on holiday the last years. Actually all where friendly (French and German speaking alike). They seemed to appreciate the effort of trying to speak in their language. To all the Swiss, looking forward to see you again in December!

Me speaking Dutch whenever I go to Antwerp and get answered in… Whatever they speak over there.
Same for any Scandinavian language (minus Iceland) and Danish.

Still sounds better than Dutch. But well, that’s a very low bar to jump over.
I have never spoken to a swiss person ever in my life and I hope to never break that streak
And if it’s a Dutch speaking person saying it you know it must be really bad.
Don’t bully them, they are very proud of their language.
So proud that they actually ban proper german in elementary schools and kindergardens. they dont know any better.
The languages the Swiss speak perfectly are Dollar, Pounds, Gold, diamond
Their french accent makes you need to bite your tongue till it’s bloody not to burst into laughter in their face.
Very disconcerting.
