  1. I had to reread this because I thought it was a joke to begin with. He literally posted a Snapchat with a woman 1 hour ago or so saying ‘lovely day in Argentina’.

Life is so fleeting. How terrible for his little son as well. May he rest in peace.

  2. Looks like he had relapsed – pictures floating around of his hotel room with what looks like crack cocaine paraphernalia showing

  3. Really sad news, growing up in Wolverhampton at a similar age it seemed everyone i knew had some sort of connection to him and I remember seeing him round town as a kid.

  4. His poor parents, poor child. Seems he had some issues but he had the time to sort that out. Those boys went through a lot at such a young age.

Feel for Niall Horan too as he seemed to be in the country to watch him and meet up earlier this week.

  5. i was a BIG one direction fan, i grew up with them. ill be honest, with recent news he was my least favourite, but no one deserves this at all. im so sad and in shock. i wish peace to his son. i can’t believe it

  6. People really should not be that famous at that age, it damages the psyche something terrible

  7. Awful really and it is crazy how quickly the news spread. You have to feel for the family who probably have only just got the news before TMZ started posting photos of his dead body.

No point not speculating. It is just really sad

  8. This is so unexpected and sad – 31 is no age! I just really, really hope his family and Cheryl didn’t find this out online. It looks like it spread like wildfire on social media (understandable as one direction were super popular) but it would be an awful way to discover your son/brother/co-parents death. Also TMZ can rot – how disgusting to post photos of his body!!!

  9. I wonder if all those years ago when he auditioned, if somehow he could be shown what would happen in years to come, would he turn round and walk out?

It’s a tale as old as time. Having that level of fame at such a young age isn’t normal.

  10. Feels surreal and so sad, he was really young and his son is only small as well bless him. 1D was an integral part of my teenage years growing up it feels so odd to ‘lose’ a part of that. I hope for his family’s sake things are handled with dignity going forward—how scummy is TMZ—and they get him home quickly.

  11. My partner loves 1D . Happen to click onto my account and saw all the posts.
He’s absolutely devesrated,  Liam being so young too. Tragic, so very tragic.
Can’t imagine what his loved ones are going through right now.

  12. Whatever the situation surrounding his death, what a shock, especially for his child.
A big celebrity death for people my age and younger as well, he was only a year older than me and I watched One Direction throughout my youth. It always feels more tragic when someone so young dies, life is finite and we must do our best to live it to the fullest.

  13. I really hope all of his family and friends were informed before the press released the news, but given it was online less than an hour after he died it doesn’t seem likely

  14. His poor little boy. I hope he’s having one more night of untroubled sleep before they tell him in the morning. Weird as it is that the whole world knows what’s happened to his dad already.

  15. Most of the conversation I’ve seen around him is people celebrating his death.

I’m not a fan of his, I’ve seen he’s been accused of some terrible things, but it wouldn’t cross my mind to celebrate his death before he’s even in an ambulance.

  16. If the pictures circulating of his hotel room are real (and they appear to be) he was smoking crack and thee himself off the balcony. Always wait until morning comes ♥️

  17. As someone who has personally mocked him, on retrospect, this is incredible sombre and sad.

He was shoehorned into fame, potentially groomed and in his last few years, was clearly dealing with alot of demons.

And despite what people will say, he did have talent. But he was chewed up and spat out by the industry. It is such a shame it ended like this and I hope in hindsight, people give him his flowers
