  1. It doesn’t matter what you “believe”. It’s a fact.

As a Tesla driver, I can tell you the entry point is not cheap

  2. Thank you Biden for putting tariffs on cheaper EVs from China. Very consumer friendly and environmentally conscious.

  3. Chevy Bolt owner since last summer.

Have not gone to a gas station in a year and a half. Charge from home with level 1 basic charger.

This is easily the most hassle free vehicle I’ve ever owned. 17,000 miles on my car since purchase ZERO oil changes, radiator flushes, etc, etc, etc.

Anyone who thinks these cars are more expensive to operate than ICE is uninformed or a TeslaBro.

  4. The article says there’s some truth in their beliefs, sites nothing, and ends the article

  5. > 72% of Americans believe **literally everything** is too costly.

Back when gas was 3$ per gallon, I compared a minivan versus an electric crossover. The electric car did cost more, but between maintenance and gas, the break-even point was 6 years. It made sense to me, so I went with the electric car.

I bumped into my friends and they are all starry eyed with their minivans thinking I have an expensive car. I told them mine was cheaper then their car… Then *Gas prices go up to 5$ per gallon*… And now they have electric cars too.

  6. Are they not?

A new Corolla is $24k, cheapest Tesla $45k.

I read in an Australian website (the driven) that after 100,000 km of driving the corolla comes cheaper after everything is factored in.

For me it’s that where I live we get – 40c winters and at those temperatures no electric device can be trusted.

It would work better for warmer places, I don’t doubt.

  7. The main reason I haven’t bought an electric car is because I live in an apartment with no means to charge it. If more mid-range apartment complexes could start offering charging stations, that’d be great
