Putin is not crazy luniac, if the US didn't try to force Ukraine to join NATO in order to gain geopolitical advantage over Russia, you really think Russia will invade Ukraine??! To maintain the peace in Ukraine, it cannot be achieved by military's power but thru new security architecture. We don't need NATO and US, we need a security architecture including Russia and Ukraine, if Russia does feel like be threaten, it makes no sense to invade other countries. But this is not what US wants, US doesn't want a peaceful, strong EU (including Russia), a strong EU will challenge US dollar domination in the world, and a peaceful EU means US cannot sell trillions dollars of weapon to EU countries!!
