Why the US wants to limit Israeli retaliation against Iran | DW News

US President Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have spoken on the phone for the first time in weeks. According to Israeli authorities, the talks focused on plans for a retaliatory strike against Iran
following its missile attack on Israel last week. After the phone call, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said that the strike would be lethal, precise and surprising. President Biden has publicly urged Netanyahu
not to attack Iran’s nuclear program or the country’s oil infrastructure.

  3. Israel's greatest strength has been always the element of surprise but discussing publicly about what targets is going to strike in Iran is now is out of its usual script though

  9. Seems more likely an attempt to keep oil prices from jumping before the elections rather than protecting US bases. If Israel attacks only revolutionary guard bases, US bases will still remain in the crosshairs (as they already have been anyhow)

  27. US only want to sell weapon to Israel in order to keep US economy afloat. No economy, no hegemony. It is very difficult for US to find another rich country to buy US weapon.

    he is signalling some things he cannot say

    so if you consider 3-4 gross category types
    then biden is signalling that usa has intelligence

    that the usa cannot reveal those sound intelligence
    but it says that both oil and nuclear targets are not the ones

    so then the thing biden is omitting in the conversation
    are those other 1-2 types of military category targets in iran

    so it remains up to both netenyahu and mossad
    to be smart enough to see and understand those specific wording

    but then israel always goes and does some other things
    that netenyahu beleives his plans are better than those usa advisements

The middle east will close the oil which west needs to keep their skins whiter maybe,biden is not a racist but USA is God's county and they will never kneel,as long as they have trust in God,they can't do wrong also in a way,but the need lots of good people, people were were not bugged and also hypnotised by the AI,so we can preserve free will

  37. The irony of Europe and the US pushing for "clean energy" and then worrying about oil price and supply issues! That's not contradictory at all… If Israel smashes the oil supply, Russian oil sales will likely increase dramatically, and that huge boost to the Russian economy would likely ease or end the war in Ukraine. Hero Netanyahu, Hero Israel!

    Not even his dad USA dares to do that !! Iran is not Afghanistan, Iraq, Gaza or Lebanon, Iran is an established force in the Middle East,

    underestimating Iran's military capabilities would be a fatal mistake! This slap that Israel and the USA in the background received on October 1st was just a small warning and a fraction of Iran's military capabilities !!
