  2. making a joke about this tragedy is not acceptable..this is just a sign of the times and its very scary that so many think this is a joke..children left alone ..having to go through life with no teachings of right and wrong..being raised by games and youtube..prayers for all

  9. I have to be honest, when drug takers, or alcoholics, take drugs, or drink, with "friends" who also do that same thing, these others who do it with them, are not genuine friends. If they were genuine, they'd be looking out for your bedt interests, not encouraging you to take drugs, or drink limitless amounts of alcohol. Oh sure, these so-called "friends" cry once the sddict passes away, but you can't honestly tell me that they ACTUALLY really "cared" that much, about their addict "friend". Real friends don't try and enable you. They'd get the adduct the right help.

  10. I really enjoy 1D’s music and I have been enjoying a few of their solo careers. Hearing about this was incredibly jarring to me, even if I didn’t really know much about Liam specifically. Still, it’s incredibly sad to hear about.

  13. Circa 1971 a friend who’d been experimenting with mescaline tried to jump out a third story window, his housemate grabbed him before he could jump but he’d had a psychotic break and was never the same. He’d claimed mescaline ‘opened up’ his mind. He’s lucky he didn’t open up his cranium.

  14. The hotel staff didn’t do enough to help him, at some point he was convulsing in the lobby and they thought it was best to bring him back to his room, the normal response would be to call an ambulance and watch him until they arrive.

  19. Dr Todd Thank you for this really interesting insight. I would be interested to hear why other members of the band have had different outcomes? Say Niall or Zayn. Is it background? Niall had divorced parents (believe me in Ireland of 1990 divorce was rare) Liam has a stable family unit. Niall certainly did not have Liams vocal ability (see his audition he and Louis were not chosen for their vocal ability and Zayn voice was not yet recognised as the great voice he now has. He had little vocal input at the X factor shows, is it geography? We Irish certainly are not a country with good mental health yet our celebrities seem to say grounded(ish) U2 Colin Farrell Michael Fassbender et all is it because (tough) banter is part of our culture (like Australia) yet we are quite an insecure peoples. Is it the luck of personality you are born with? (See Harry talking about’Niall joy in their movie while Harry was a worrier and cried about the abuse he got online plus Harry was ‘sexualised as a child) I would be so interested to know. Look at the path Louis has traveled he has a pretty solid solo career.

  21. The sad truth is most of those in their inner circle are usually enablers. If they got them clean and helped them walk the right path most would walk away from the fame (think Britney Spears) and the gravy train would stop. Since he could no longer be milked he was worth nothing to anyone any longer. V v sad
