Alabama mass shooting leaves at least four dead and dozens injured | BBC News

At least four people have been killed and dozens injured in a mass shooting in Birmingham, Alabama, police say.

“Multiple shooters fired multiple shots on a group of people” late on Satuday in the Five Points South area of the city, Birmingham police officer Truman Fitzgerald said.

Police found the bodies of two men and one woman at the scene and a fourth victim died of bullet wounds in hospital, he said.

Detectives are investigating whether the gunmen walked up to the victims or drove by, Mr Fitzgerald added.

No suspects have been arrested.

  20. Hey, just another Free State mentality at it again, I can always see then people have a gun, it becomes their first choice in any and all decisions. As a combat medically retired veteran that was well trained in most of the military’s weapons from a 9mm to a missile, I see far to many individuals that think life is either a John Wick movie or a Grand Theft Auto movie and that there are no consequences to their actions or responsibility of not only owning a firearm but what the true cost of taking a life is. If have seen innocent children strapped with a remote bomb and used to kill young Americans that were both brave and naive as they thought there is glory in war and there isn’t. The actions action effects more than one life and eff3cts your mind more than most people can realize until it’s far to late. I saw the Real NRA, that for decades taught young hunters not only gun safety but that every life whether animals we hunt for food or people that left someone no choice but to take a life, that ALL LIFE IS SACRED. The NRA sold out the hunters and the responsible citizens that fought and defended our country for Corporate Profits and Fame and Fortune.

  24. You have 2 major political parties in the United States, Republicans/democrats & each blame the other. Bham is run by a democratic mayor & Alabama run by a Republican governor. The switch used is already illegal & so is murder.
    The Hush (nightclub) is directly across the street from a church & the entrance is down about 10 steps from street level. There is another (maybe) 15 steps upwards & all areas surrounded by walls. There was absolutely no escape for these folks, they were literally sitting ducks. 5 points is a very liberal area in a very conservative state (gay flags flying everywhere). Hush is actually 2 very small blocks from where the pride parade is every June.
