Little Portugal: the best restaurants to try in London’s Portuguese neighbourhood

A larger restaurant with a sprawling terrace; when the sun is out, it really feels like a little slice of downtown Porto. The à la carte is decent enough, with the classic francesinha sandwich served perfectly, but the real joy of the restaurant is found on the daily, handwritten specials. Pork with clams is on heavy rotation; tender belly alongside plump fresh clams. Heaven. The meats are good too: often half or whole roasted rabbit will make an appearance and when it does, must be ordered. As in Portugal, everything arrives with fries and rice and salad, only improving the already astonishing value.
