In October, Hungary maintains its leadership in receiving grain cargo through railway border crossings. This was reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

Currently, an average of 51.5 grain wagons pass daily through the Hungarian border crossings, which is a significant increase compared to September. The number of wagons rose by 18.3 units per day, highlighting the growth of grain transportation.

The number of grain wagons passing through the Ukraine-Slovakia border crossings also increased to 37.2 wagons daily. This increase of 7.9 wagons per day demonstrates the rising volumes of transportation through this route.

An average of 44.6 grain wagons are sent to Poland daily, but this figure decreased compared to September. In September, the number of wagons on this route was 5.3 units higher, reflecting a decline in shipments.

The number of wagons with grain cargo headed to Romania also decreased in October. On average, 42.2 wagons passed through the Romanian border crossings, which is eight units fewer than in the previous month.

In total, an average of 245 wagons with grain and oilseed meals are transferred daily through all border crossings. In the first twenty days of October, this figure increased by 38 wagons per day, indicating a general trend of growing transportation volumes by rail.

Earlier reports indicated that the volume of grain shipments by rail to Hungary and Slovakia significantly increased in October.
