Three flights to Madeira, coming from Lisbon, London and Paris, have been diverted to other airports due to the bad weather affecting the island, which is under a yellow warning for rain until 12:00 pm.

According to information available on the ANA – Aeroportos de Portugal website, the operation at Madeira International Airport, located in Santa Cruz, in the east zone, has seen some constraints with delays and diverted flights, but as of 11am no departure had been cancelled.

The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) has placed the island of Madeira under a yellow warning until 12pm for precipitation, which can sometimes be heavy.
