Anybody else concerned about the OneLog Hack? To see infrastructure of media platforms hacked like this is scarry AF.
What other sensitive Swiss login portals might get hacked next?

  1. Such incidents occur every week, unfortunately. This is a good reminder to encourage everyone to use a password manager like Bitwarden (which is free) and never reuse passwords across different accounts. Additionally, enable 2FA wherever possible. Although it can sometimes be poorly implemented and complicate the login process for daily use, your data is invaluable.

As an added bonus, many email providers allow you to use aliases. For example, with Gmail, if your address is john@example.com, you can create an alias like john+reddit@example.com. This lets you track when you’ve created an account somewhere and if they sell your data. For added privacy, if you discover that john+reddit@example.com has been compromised, you can set a rule in your mailbox to send emails to this alias directly to spam.

I work in cybersecurity and there’s a ton of work in Switzerland, so many companies with poorly thought-out systems.

Rumors say it’s a ransomware, I haven’t seen a group name so can’t see if the data has leaked too (probably the case).

60% chance they’ll shut down in the next 6 months, the average cost of a cyber attack of this type is 300’000 CHF.

See this attack has a reminder not to use the same password everywhere (if the leak is confirmed).
