Sveiki braļukai is Latvijos!

The other day, my girlfriend and I were browsing an advertisement website (skelbimai), looking at listings for cars and apartments. To make it more fun, I challenged her to guess the prices. This sparked an idea: what if we created a little game where we could do this together or even compete against each other?

Within a couple of days, I developed a prototype—a demo version of the game. When I launched it in Latvian, it took off! The next day, we heard people on the radio playing our game, and it was incredible to see our idea resonate with so many.

Long story short, I wanted to create a version for our neighbors, so I replicated my Latvian website just for you! There’s no registration, no ads—everything is free. Just hop on over to spekkaina.lt and give it a try!

You can choose from multiple categories, including cars, apartments and houses. You can also select your guessing time, and the best part? You can play with friends!

If you encounter any issues, such as translation problems (as Lithuanian is not my native language), or if you have suggestions for improvements, please don’t hesitate to let me know. This is a demo version, and if you enjoy it, there will be many more categories and enhancements coming to the website.

Happy playing!

  1. I think you may have missed translating the results page that appears after the game into Lithuanian, but it’s still a very fun game!

  2. Neat, I was so wrong on Vilnius rent prices It’s not even funny how overpriced it is

  3. Hey, thanks for the game, nice idea.

I wanted to share some feedback:

It feels that this game is encouraging me to always choose lower price to be on the safer side.

Because if the price is 1000 and I guess 3000, ill get 0% accuracy. but for a vice versa scenario, where the price is 3000 and I guess 1000, ill get 33%.

It feels to me that somehow both of situations should give same or similar result, yet it does not.

  4. Very fun! If I could suggest anything, it would be to add separators for thousands in the results, because it is easier to read “2,000,000€” than “2000000€”
