  1. Having never received a penny of inheritance it does grind my gears seeing the leg-up so many of my peers have had, but that said, the idea of handing my kids some of my wealth is a big driver for me so I wouldn’t want the concept of inheritance to change too much.

  2. Meanwhile I observe that in ALL COUNTRIES with high inheritance taxes the middle class vanish or struggling while in those with ZERO grow and thrive or at least hold…

  3. Building generational wealth is an admirable goal to possess. It’s why immigrants who journey to America, just to slave away at a low-level job in order to support their children through college to become physicians or lawyers, hold so much respect in my eyes. They sacrificed their lives so that their family, their children can live a better life. I say sacrificed because I am referencing the fact that these folks aren’t taking vacations and if they are they certainly aren’t lavish by any means. They aren’t eating no filet mignon, etc. All they care about is flipping their family’s fortune in one generation.

Anyway, I am against inheritance tax unless it is some astronomical amount being inherited. I am against the government taxing so much stuff. Tax on the money you make, the stuff you buy, the gains from investments, etc. when the fuck does it end
