So far what has been the impact of the MPD on the Russian Military, supposedly acting as a successor to the Soviet MPD which was in control of the Political Commissars assigned to Soviet military units before it was disbanded following the August coup attempt.
My guess is they were siphoning off money from their military since they knew how the old Soviet era system worked. Totally guessing that whoever is in charge has one or two yachts and multiple homes.
Even if it’s not what they were meant to do I’m sure that’s still happening. The whole Russian system reeks of corruption.
