  1. Sorry lads I’m actually a Victorian time traveler in London and I brought all of these over to you lot.

  2. I think Montgomery Lines Guard Room in Aldershot, was a time capsule for these diseases.

They have been feeding on squaddies there for time immemorial

  3. Poverty. Saw it in East London when I worked on the ambulances, seeing it in kids (except syphilis) now I work in a school. And it’s all down to poverty and exploitation of the poor. E.g kids hotbedding with parents/grandparents makes bed bugs/scabies/folliculitis/etc vastly more likely. Poor diet leads to scurvy – especially because both parents have to work, so kids have fried chicken every day for ‘dinner’. No more can one person support a family – so kids go home to an empty house, which leads to a vast number of health and social ills.

But we can’t be having housewife/husbands because they are ‘economically inactive’ and so the rich can’t extract value from them.

  4. In relation to scurvy. There was a piece on the news about the quality of our veg going down by them manufacturing it to grow quicker and bigger and last longer but in return the vitamins and minerals the vegetables would usually contain was seriously reduced. So even if you are getting your veg, you’re not getting the goodness from it that we used to.

  5. The same reason levels of wealth disparity not seen since Victorian times are returning

  6. Deprivation breeds health inequalities and the politicians won’t save you, they do not represent the people
