Rhode Island Energy (RIE) is introducing a new Advanced Metering Functionality (AMF) program in Portsmouth. An advanced meter enables two-way communication between the meter and RIE’s systems. Benefits to Customers: With these new advanced meters, customers will have access to a user-friendly customer portal that provides insights into energy usage. This interactive tool can help residents manage their energy consumption and find ways to control monthly bills.
Project Timeline:
Customer Outreach: Letters will be sent to Portsmouth customers at the end of October/beginning of November. Field Checks: RIE will conduct field checks for each meter. Meter Installations: The installation process will follow field checks.
